ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

The Beaver Creek 4th of July Celebration is a continuously growing and long-standing tradition in the Beaver Creek community.

In the beginning, 1975, the Beaver Creek Kiwanis hosted the only fireworks in the Verde Valley with this being the club's biggest source of money for their many Community Service Projects.  This tradition continued for the first 18 or so years of the Beaver Creek Kiwanis Club until insurance issues and a change in the ownership of the Beaver Creek Golf Resort changed. The festivities then evolved into a parade and gathering at Rollins Park Square.  As the community has continued to grow the celebration has now the single largest public gathering in the Beaver Creek area.  It is now co-sponsored by the Beaver Creek Adult Center, The Beaver Creek Baptist Church, the Montezuma-Rimrock Fire Department, Lake Montezuma Property Owners Association and many other local businesses.  It now includes a Pancake Breakfast, a parade, entertainment in the square with a festive presentation of parade awards, an Adult Center Ice Cream Social, a Beaver Creek Baptist Church “Free Lunch,” the Beaver Creek Duck Race and the Adult Center Evening Barbecue.

SOFTWARE/BOOKS GRANTS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS- Beaver Creek Kiwanis makes available four $50 grants to the faculty, library and clubs of Beaver Creek School.  This money may be used to enhance some aspect of the academic environment including the funding of field trips or other activities, the purchase of books or materials for the library or classroom, or the acquisition of software for classroom or library computers.

LEST WE FORGET……… its all about the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
